READY TO SERVE

Eagle stands 100% behind its work and guarantees the quality of that work is nothing less than the best!

In 1997 due to a career ending football injury to his back as well as head related trauma, Dexter Davis was forced to retire from professional football.

After navigating through life for a number of years, after the NFL – Dexter befriended a local businessman who told Dexter, “I believe in your life’s purpose, I’ve watched you live out your faith, and I want to support whatever you’re doing in the community.” Through their relationship, Dexter became inspired to create Eagle Universal Services.

The inspiration for the name Eagle Universal Services is as follows:

Eagle for its value to the Unites States of America

– Universal because of his mission experiences both locally and around the world

– Services because there is no greater thing a man or woman can do than to SERVE, a trait Dexter holds in the highest regard.

Dexter, along with his lovely wife LaShea, wanted to create a for profit business that does non profit work. The two of them made that happen through the formation Eagle Universal Services.

Dexter, along with his lovely wife LaShea, wanted to create a for profit business that does non profit work. The two of them made that happen through the formation Eagle Universal Services.

In 1997 due to a career ending football injury to his back as well as head related trauma, Dexter Davis was forced to retire from professional football.

Life began to happen at a pace and level he had never before experienced. Dexter had to sell his house and cars to move to a row house in Baltimore, where their new transportation was a shared mauve minivan. His wife LaShea’s commitment to him became even clearer after all the glamour and fame was gone.

Dexter earned his undergraduate degree from HBCU Morgan State University in 2002, where then friend and head football coach, Stump Mitchell, paid for his education in return for coaching the defensive secondary. Upon graduating, Dexter taught secondary level biology but began experiencing more and more headaches and difficulty standing for extensive periods of time.

In 2007, Dexter moved his family and minivan to Atlanta, Georgia. He had been previously been the head high-school football coach at a small private Christian school in South Carolina, on a $20k salary, which included LaShea’s role as a pre-K teacher, and their four children’s tuition. While gathering helmets one day, he met a man named John Meindl – a future mentor, who to this day serves as Dexter’s personal adviser, who simply asked, “do you need any help?”

Later in that year, Shane Williamson – a long time friend, offered him the task of growing the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in metro and urban Atlanta. This would require that he attend practices and games, chat with coaches or supply FCA materials as needed. Dexter had recently volunteered to return his families second vehicle to the dealership as it didn’t fit in their financial budget. Fortunately and unbeknownst to him, this opportunity came with a company vehicle, a blue suburban with no working air condition. His passion for serving the community motivated him to see it through. When he was not talking to high school athletes and coaches, Dexter moseyed on over to visit a new NCAA team that was in their start-up phase under legendary coach Bill Curry at Georgia State University. This resulted in Dexter becoming the team’s 1st official Character Coach and counselor. He is, to this day, grateful for the faith that Shane had invested in him and the accompanying financial support.

While serving as a Deacon in Atlanta, Dexter befriended Barry Roberts, who at the time, owned a demolition company. He once told Dexter, “I believe in your life’s purpose, I’ve watched you live out your faith, and I want to support whatever you’re doing in the community.” Through their relationship, Dexter became inspired to create Eagle Universal Services. Barry now serves as  the Chief Operating Officer at Eagle.

Eagle for its value to the Unites States of America

– Universal because of his sports mission experiences locally and abroad

– Services because in his opinion, there is no greater thing a man or woman can do than to SERVE, a trait Dexter holds in the highest regard.

“Dexter, with the help of LaShea wanted to create a for profit business that does non profit work”. The two of them made that happen. Thus you have, Eagle Universal Services.
